RSF DANCE! Dance is proud to be alive and kicking, here at RSF!  We offer dance practice in multiple genres including jazz, hip-hop, contemporary and modern dance.  Students in grades 7 and 8 are welcome to fulfill their PE requirements in Dance PE.  Students in grades 5 to 8 are able to practice dance after school each trimester.  Lastly, students also have the opportunity to dance in the School Wide Musical happening every spring.   

DANCE PE  This physical education class is offered as alternative for the PE requirement of each middle school student.  In this course we focus on technique, performance and choreography.  Each trimester the students have an opportunity to perform in multiple school-wide productions.  Each production is an opportunity for the dancers to perform for faculty, students and family.  The importance of dance, as a discipline, is to allow each student to have a different outlet of expression.  We want to keep dance growing in the San Diego community and provide each dancer with the experience they may need in future dance studies.         

AFTER SCHOOL DANCE PROGRAM This program is organized into 3 different dance workshops, and is available for all students grade 5 to 8.  Each trimester we will work on a specific dance genre.  The focus of each workshop includes technique, choreography and performance skills.  The classes are offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15-4:30pm for 6 to 8 week blocks.  Scheduled workshops are listed below.  If your student is just beginning or has previous experience, this program is a great way for them to meet new friends and build on their dance experience!
